That’s right the man who put the respectable back into the 80s is going to spinning at Zouk KL this week. Calvin Harris, who’s used to getting all the girls, is going to be in town to try and steal yours. The only way you can stop him is to form a human chain in front of the console and block him. This isn’t just mid-week entertainment, it’s your civic duty to turn-out and stop this menace in his tracks.
Support comes from LOUD boys Blink & Goldfish, who’ll be doing their best to disrupt Harris’s seductive charms with some ultra-percussive white noise. Tickets cost RM35. This man is so dangerous he’s even filmed his crimes.

The man who Created Disco and gave us all reasons to Get Ready For The Weekend will be right here in Kuala Lumpur in August for an unforgettable night of pure fun, fun, fun. Yes, you guessed it; the man with the funky glasses, Scottish DJ and producer, Calvin Harris will be gracing the decks of Zouk Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, 4 August. If you don’t know much about this talented Scot, it’s about time you do.
He may have barely turned 23 when he first hit the charts, but Calvin Harris had been making music, legend has it, since the age of 15 on an old Amiga computer in the Scottish town of Dumfries, when he wasn’t stacking shelves at the local Marks & Spencer.
Calvin Harris, who’s popularly known to many as the King of electro pop, made quite an impression when he released his gold-selling debut album, I Created Disco in 2007. His debut effort spawned Top 10 singles like ‘Acceptable in the 80’s’ and ‘The Girls’. During the same year of the album release, Calvin had the opportunity to work with Aussie pop queen, Kylie Minogue.
His second studio album Ready for the Weekend showed his maturity as a producer and did better than the first release by reaching #1 in the UK Album Charts. The pop inspired dance album contains the ever eclectic #1 single, which was also nominated for iTunes Best Song of 2009, ‘I’m Not Alone’, the UK Top 5 Single ‘Ready for the Weekend’, ‘Flashback’ and ‘You Used to Hold Me’.
Calvin’s understanding for mainstream dance tunes prompted Kylie Minogue’s camp to work with him again on her latest album ‘Aphrodite’. He has also lent his skills to produce remixes for the likes of Shakira, Katy Perry and All Saints.
The man with the funky glasses will be rocking out a flavourful DJ set with our favourite LOUD boys, DJ Goldfish and DJ Blink. So you can definitely tell what kind of night you will be in for.
